Know your stores and their opportunities for discounts that apply to you!

I love a good surprise but I love deals even more. The other day we were shopping in a store and my husband was wearing one of his firefighting t-shirts and the cashier asked him if he was a fireman in which he told her yes. She then informed him of the discount of %15 off the entire purchase. Just by coincidence we it got the discount but it taught me a lesson to always check out what stores might give discounts. Stores often give discounts to military, firemen, EMS workers, teachers, AAA members, etc. So if you are involved in some organizations it doesn’t hurt to ask if the store you are in offers a discount. You may be pleasantly surprised.
